Desert Rivers Credit Union and Mountain West Small Business Association Announce Funding for the Gonzo Inn Transition of Ownership

Moab, Utah. August 16, 2024

Samuel Crane, President and CEO of Desert Rivers Credit Union in Moab, Utah, has announced a noteworthy development. The Credit Union, in collaboration with former owners Kali and Josh Bisco and Jason White from Mountain West Small Business Finance, has successfully secured financing for the purchase of the Gonzo Inn.

The funding will enable long-time General Manager Huseyn Deniz to acquire the iconic hotel, ensuring it remains under local control and ownership.

Senior Business Banker Lonnie Campbell was excited to collaborate on this project. “Having the opportunity to be part of this transaction is something that I greatly appreciate. This was a unique deal that required a significant amount of cooperation from all parties to get it to the finish line.
